ABOUT CAMP

Camp Rock is a traditional outdoor day camp serving campers entering grades 1-8. Located on beautiful Lake Lemon in Unionville, IN, campers enjoy activities ranging from lakefront swimming and boating to outdoor education and art. Camp Rock campers enjoy a variety of field trips to destinations throughout south central Indiana as well.

 OUR MISSION

Camp Rock’s mission is to provide an environment for children to develop a strong foundation in Christ by offering services to and for our children in all aspects of their lives, including educational support for their families and caregivers to ensure that children receive proper nurturing, education and emotional development as well as offering a new concept in traditional sleep away camp and/or residential facilities. Camp Rock also strives to provide adoption services for children with permanent loving families as well as to provide temporary placement for children on an emergency basis when needed. Camp Rock is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children by providing basic services improve their lives and outcomes

OUR VISION

To show children the love of Christ, through interacting with them in the activities throughout the week. To place in the children a hope that they can accomplish anything they set their mind to accomplish.

ACTIVITIES

The wilderness campus services special needs, low income, at risk, non-profit, and church group children. Activities like canoeing, horseback riding, swimming, forestry and conservation, hunting, fishing, farming, animal care, skeet shooting, and ropes courses to teach leadership, are currently being offered year round to serve these children.

This effort seeks to restore old barns and structures and turn them into useful housing with great character. This is in keeping with Camp Rock’s philosophy of restoring and building up that which was abandoned and forgotten.
