ABOUT CAMP

It used to be that a child had to wait until he or she was 8 years old to fully enjoy all the program options Calumet has to offer, but no longer!  Calumet Day Camp has become a favorite for kids ages 6-12 who are staying with their families in the campground, or who live in the local area.

过去，一个孩子必须长到8岁后才能参加Calumet提供的活动。但是，现在不需要了！在露营场所，只要有家人或当地居民的陪伴，6至12岁的儿童都可以参加卡里美特日营。

Day Camp meets each week of the summer season, Monday through Friday, beginning at 8:30am. The Day Camp Tent is conveniently located adjacent to the Family Camp  Beach and is easily recognizable by all the kids singing songs, playing games, getting ready for swim lessons, and taking part in discovery time.  All activities are supervised under the watchful eye of one of Calumet’s expert Day Camp Directors.

Families, couples, groups,and individuals come to the 65 site campground as a way of unplugging a bit from all that has the family's attention back home. Some who "don't camp" opt for a room at the Conference Center or one of the private-bath Village Cabins. All guests love relaxing by the beach each day. Group fitness activities, trips for ice cream, hiking the trails of the White Mountains, singing around the campfire, laughing children at the daily Kids Fun Time for the little ones, all kinds of craft opportunities, and much more. A chaplain is on site each week leading devotions and greeting all the campers during camp activities.

Camp Calumet has been offering fun-fortified, friend-focused, faith-filled youth programs for 55 years. A time at camp -- whether it's for a weekend away with others from youth group, an exended stay with the confirmation class, a week-long trip for Winter Camp, or participating in Calumet's tranformational Resident Camp for Kids -- matters. Jim Doyle, Calumet's Director for Youth Programs, plans each retreat experience, identifies the best staff possible, and leads the assembled group ensuring a camp visit that truly has an impact on lives.

There are many existing opportunities to participate in any number of youth programs throughout the year.It is our promise to you that you will really enjoy your time here.
