ABOUT CAMP
Camp Ewalu's Day Camps are an extension of the ministry of congregations and offers an opportunity for your congregation to enter into a mutually fruitful partnership. Often viewed as a blend of outdoor ministry and congregational vacation bible school ministry, one of the important goals of an Ewalu Day Camp program is to help youth build stronger connections with their churches. Our Day Camp teams, together with members of your congregation, will serve together in this youth ministry effort. We will bring new ideas, lots of energy, group leadership and fun activities. Your participation in this ministry enables your youth and adults to build relationships that will continue well after the week concludes.
Mini-Camp

minicampersCamp Ewalu is a fantastic place for youth to begin exploring their faith. These first-time campers will have a jam-packed three days; they’ll stay in cozy cabins for two nights, make new friends, read Bible stories, explore camp, and sing some songs around the campfire! We’re excited to play and pray with these new campers.
Enjoy over 550 acres of forests and prairies, miles of beautiful hiking trails, streams and rivers, rock outcroppings, and the woodlands of the Maquoketa River valley. Ewalu's lodges and cabins can sleep over 170 people for your schools visit. Food service staff serve delicious home-style meals. Camp highlights include outdoor recreation areas, a volleyball court, archery range, canoes, high and low ropes course, cross country skis, snowshoes, hiking, and more.
Outdoor education programs can be customized to fit your school's needs! Our facility is available for day-trips, overnight stays and even week-long programs. Our Environmental Education Director is also available to come to your school for a presentation. Call for open dates, and schedule your best-ever field trip. The students will learn a lot - and love it!
