ABOUT CAMP
Camp Nageela Midwest is an extraordinary three-week experience of fun, friendship and unforgettable memories. Our extensive daily schedule is a camper’s dream and includes both traditional and specialty camp activities and surprises. Our array of options satisfies those who envision themselves either playing sports, horseback riding, canoeing, woodworking, or enjoying any of our other varied activities while learning valuable skills for life.
Our TeeNageela program for campers completing grades Nine - Eleven adds a new twist to the traditional Nageela program with new and exciting programs and leadership building opportunities.
Campers in Camp Nageela come from over Twenty Five states and identify with all Jewish affiliations. Staff members practice traditional Jewish observance and are selected for their passion to live by its values of caring, warmth, and joy of living. Our separate gender sessions give every child and staff member the opportunity to thrive in a low pressure environment. |

Camp Nageela Midwest is accredited by the worldly acclaimed American Camping Association (formerly known as the American Camping Association) and has received high accolades from numerous other agencies. We strive to ensure a safe and healthy summer for each child individually. Our fully equipped infirmary is staffed with trained medical personnel, and our “Camp Mom” is available around the clock for camper care & “away from home mothering”. All meals are nutritious, tasty and are prepared fresh in our kitchen facilities. All kosher dietary laws are strictly observed. We are happy to accommodate special dietary needs if arranged prior to the camp session.

Staff
At Camp Nageela we do our absolute best to staff our camp with the most skilled, responsible, and enthusiastic educators, professionals, counselors, and athletes who will serve as a role model for every camper. We understand that a camp is only as good as its staff and we are so proud of the wonderful staff at Camp Nageela.
Camp Nageela staff often keep in touch with campers throughout the year! Counselor applicants must have completed at least one year of post high school education. Specialties must be post high school. Girls completing 11th grade may apply as day camp counselors or mother's helpers.
All applicants will receive a personal interview. All staff members come to camp for mandatory training before camp.

The Camp Nageela Experience is comprised of a wealth of activities and specialty programming designed to cater to the interests of each individual camper
The daily schedule is packed with excitement, fun and adventure while giving our campers the opportunities to develop skills and build friendships.
Most camp activities are enjoyed by the entire bunk together. Other activities are able to be chosen by each camper individually. The result is a well-rounded program that allows every child to try new experiences while also focusing on special interests.
Teen Program
One of the major highlights of the TeeNageela program experience is a major trip overnight
The Teen Program for campers completing grades 9 and 10 creates an entirely new spin on Nageela. With specialty programs, activities and trips, these campers are in for something new and different.
One of the major highlights of the TeeNageela program experience is a major trip overnight. Over the past few years, teens have travelled to Chicago, Columbus, Cincinnati and St. Louis and been to some really cool places there. Stay tuned for exciting developments including Major Trip 2014!
What else do Nageela teens love about the program? The unanimous answer is the staff. TeeNageela staff members carefully balance fun and friendship with appropriate supervision.
