Adventure Camping & Team Building
There’s something about the outdoors that causes us to respond in ways that are true to ourselves. Maybe it’s the natural settings that help us discover our natural personalities. Perhaps it’s the challenge of living without everyday luxuries that channels greater strength from inner pools we never knew we had. Whatever the case, adventure is good for us as individuals and as groups. Having designed adventure programs for more than 50 years, we know!
Adventure Services
One of the key aims of our Adventure Therapy Programs is to awaken the value of Respect – for self, others, the environment and property – in the hearts and minds of people, so they might experience what it is to live with purpose, confidence and, ultimately, happiness. It’s about using the challenge of an adventure to discover aspects of your personality that you never knew existed. It’s about pursuing a journey of personal discovery that awakens you to the potential that’s lying within.
High Ropes Course
Get the adrenaline going by challenging your limits. That too, 8 metres above the ground. Working in teams of up to 4, participants take turns to climb up solid, hardwood poles and then cross gaps of 10 metres spanned by an array of wires, ropes, stirrups and ladders to a pole on the other side. Every climber is strapped into a harness for safety. But you just can’t help but feel the rush!

What is Communities for Children?
Communities for Children ensures children have the best start in life. It does this by focusing on targeted prevention and early intervention approaches that bring about positive outcomes for young children and their families.
Communities for Children brings together services to help vulnerable Australian families find their way out of disadvantage. The early years of a child’s life are critical in their development and foundations for learning, behaviour and health are set during this time. Communities for Children aim to deliver positive and sustainable outcomes for children and families in the areas’ of Murray Bridge, Mannum, Tailem Bend and Callington.
Baptist Care are a community partner of ac.care Murray Bridge who facilitate Communities for Children in the Murraylands. Other community partners include: Tailem Bend Community Centre, Centacare, Tinyeri Children’s Centre, Aspire Children’s Development.
