Year 7 Curriculum 七年级课程
Students in Year 7 complete a range of compulsory subjects throughout their first year at secondary school, which lays a sound base of experience and achievement in all Key Learning Areas, and allows for considered subject selection in future years. The following table illustrates the subjects that students will undertake in Year 7.

All students are given personal subject timetables to assist them to be at the right place at the right time; timetables should be kept safely in Student Planners, and it is advisable to make a copy to be displayed prominently at home.

In Years 8 to Year 12 students select their Personal Learning Program (PLP) which allows students to select units for each semester (half year) from the following Key Learning Areas:
Arts, English, Health and Physical Education, Languages Other Than English (LOTE), Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Technology.
The Personal Learning Program gives students the opportunity to:
Work at a level appropriate to their abilities and interests rather than their age在适当的水平工作,
Choose from a wide range of subjects and follow their own learning pathway
Pursue an area of interest
Choose specialist studies
Students' progress is monitored by their Pastoral Care Leaders, Teachers, and their Year Level Co-ordinators.
Our Years 8 to 12 PLP offers a balanced and comprehensive curriculum based on our school philosophy and policies, the Australian Curriculum in Victoria (AusVELS), the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority, (VCAA) and the National Curriculum guidelines.
Students should aim to select units that will give them a sound general education - meeting the minimum requirements will ensure this.
Students should also select units that will develop the knowledge and skills they need to continue their study into VCE or VCAL and beyond secondary schooling.
Brauer College encourages students, with the support of their parents / carers and teachers, to think about and plan which subjects they should study in the following year, that will provide them with a good education and prepare them for further study or work.

Advance Program
The program includes a complete uniform.
The ADVANCE program has been designed to promote:
Teamwork Community service leadership Individual responsibility Self discipline Skill development Confidence Schools work with a community service provider in delivering the program. At Brauer College we have worked with the Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club and our students have become members of this club.
Over the two year program the students obtain many skills, including:
First Aid Certificate Surf Life Saving Bronze Medallion / Surf Life Saving Certificate Surf Camp experience Duke of Edinburgh - Bronze / Silver Award Surf Life Saving Competitions Voluntary Surf Patrol Students achieving this level of achievement should be justifiably proud of their qualification as very few in the community have this award. It requires a committed and determined approach to learn these new skills and develop and maintain sufficient fitness to be able to deliver in the event of an emergency.
