Welcome to Northcote High School
At Northcote High School (NHS) we focus on educating and equipping our students for the 21st century by challenging young minds and endowing them with the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence to engage with life as participating citizens.
Our students learn in a supportive and positive environment that celebrates all achievements (no matter how large or small) and where diversity is highly valued. At NHS we embrace the idea of lifelong learning that empowers and assists our young students to create their own personal futures.
Students learn best when they feel happy, engaged, connected and safe. Our pastoral care (tutorial care) program provides a supportive environment where all participating students can gain confidence in their pursuit of educational excellence.
In addition to the Music program, interschool Sport programs and the tours and camps program, NHS maintains a rich and active co-curricular program to ensure a wide range of student interests and pursuits are met.
With 90 international students enrolled, NHS boasts an international student program that is well integrated into the broader school community and provides excellent support and guidance commencing with an intensive English course.
As one of Melbourne’s oldest secondary schools, NHS has maintained and sustained a commitment to providing an exemplary education to the young people of Northcote and surrounding areas.
