ABOUT CAMP
You can find us at over 100 locations across NSW and the ACT including camps, before and after school care, community recreation and sporting facilities, swimming pools and youth services. We deliver inclusive programs that meet community needs, and raise funds to help make our activities accessible for everyone. We also work with government, corporate and community partners who are also committed to improving the health and happiness of all across the state.
Our recreation programs are about more than fitness, our children’s services provide more than just childcare, and our camps are not simply holidays. Their underlying purpose is to connect people to their communities to learn, grow and thrive, and it is our hope that we motivate people to participate in healthier lifestyles.

Camp is all about challenge, experience, independence, making memories and lifelong friends. It's often the first time away for many children and is a perfect opportunity for them to grown, learn and think for themselves. At the YMCA we provide opportunities for campers to grow in body, mind & spirit, in a fun, safe and professional environment.
The days during camp are made up of a series of progressive adventure activities and traditional camp activities. All activities are challenge by choice. Campers are encouraged to try everything, but are not forced to do anything. The nights are fully programmed with activities such as campfire, games night, movie night and a themed disco.
Your camper will learn important 21st century skills including leadership, decision making, problem solving, how our actions affect those around us and how to collaborate and work with others.
The YMCA has been running Holiday Camp Programs since 1937 and maintains a progressive approach to providing opportunities for children to have fun and develop skills & personal qualities through interaction and challenge in the outdoors.
This is achieved through sequenced programming and by matching adventure and challenge to the skill and ability levels of children of all ages. We do this by utilising the very best facilities, along with qualified and enthusiastic staff who are committed to ensuring that every child attending our programs has an enjoyable and valuable experience in a safe and caring environment.
