Programs

TAG UP for Activities Every Day
You get to choose from a variety of activities offered daily! Hone your skills in your weekly major! Enjoy Evening Program! Unstructured free time happens organically at Camp Runoia!

At Camp Runoia we think of camp as fun with intention – we are focused not only on having fun, but helping your child grown into an independent and confident person who is discovering themselves as a stand up girl, a strong athlete, a purposeful leader, a creative artist and true friend.

“Tag Up” for Activities Daily
A Typical Daily Schedule
7:30-9:30 Wake up, flag raising, breakfast, activity sign up, cabin clean up and assembly
9:30-11:45 Weekly major followed by elective activity
11:45-12:30 Recreation Swim (optional) and Unstructured Free Time
12:30-1:30 Lunch
1:30-2:30 Quiet time followed by snack
2:45-5:30 Three elective activities
5:30-6:15 Recreational swim or Unstructured Free Time
6:15-7:00 Supper
7:10 – Evening Program – varies nightly
8:15 – Junior “Milk and Crackers” followed by prep for bed
8:30 – Senior “Milk and Crackers” followed by prep for bed
9:00 pm – Junior lights out
9:30 pm – Senior lights out
BLUE AND WHITE TEAM SPORTS
Within a week of being a camper you are randomly assigned to the White or Blue Team. Campers can earn individual points for their team in sports like, swimming, riding, sailing, tennis, Junior Maine Guide programs, cross country or triathlons and team points in soccer, kickball, softball, volley ball, swim meets, sailing races, kayak and canoe races and more. The Blues are cheered on by their mascot “Blue-y Bee” – watch out for that sting! The Whites have “Willy White” the elephant to charge on through all the sports. Competition is fun and focused on personal best and participation is encouraged.
