Hobbies offer campers the opportunity to increase their level of skill in a variety of areas. On Monday mornings the campers are given explanations of all possible options, and choose two different specialties for the day. Each day they will spend 2 hours in the morning with the same instructor and class of campers learning a new skill. Options may include:
Archery
Paddle Boating
Sailing
Basketball
Fishing
Canoeing
Soccer
Log Rolling
Outdoor Cooking
Kayaking
Dance
Arts & Crafts

Orienteering
Snorkeling
Improv Games
Fire Building
Cabin time rates high on campers list of favorites. Inside the cabins, campers and counselors engage in games, storytelling, devotions, rest time or good conversation, all important in cementing good friendships at camp.
Evening Activities are often the highlight of the day. The whole camp comes together for the dance, skit night, campfires or the Friendship Fire. Cabin mates spend valuable time together on Individual Night.
All camp activities start each afternoon when the entire camp comes together for large-group games and activities. These include Capture the Flag, Wells Fargo, Hatfields and McCoys, the Mude Hike, Moon Goons, Dog Patch Olympics and Water Carnivals.

Summer Camp?xml:namespace>
Each and every summer beginning in 1923, kids from the Chippewa Valley have packed their bags and headed to the shores of Long Lake. They return each summer to experience the long held traditions of our camps – singing by the campfire, swimming, skit night, mud hike, making a candle for a new friend or watching a sunset with a favorite counselor by the lake. Each summer Eau Claire YMCA Camp Manitou has provided campers a chance to learn new skills, gain self-confidence, create friendships, and cooperate with fellow cabinmates.

MiniCamp
A 4-day version of our Main Camp, this program offers the same great activities, games and staff in a more condensed session. This is a good opportunity for young campers that want to try out the camp experience without spending a full week away from home.

*Tier C pricing is only available to YMCA members
We offer three different price options because we want each family to choose the rate that is most appropriate for them. No special paperwork is required. The price you pay does not change the experience your children receive.
Tier A This price most accurately reflects the true cost of camp, taking into account basic upkeep, depreciation, and facility/program improvements.
Tier B This price is a rate for families who need to adjust down slightly from the true cost.
Tier C This subsidized rate is only available to YMCA members.
We believe all kids should have the opportunity to experience camp and will work with families to make this happen. Financial assistance applications are available by contacting Michelle at michelle@eauclaireymca.org.
