Summer Camps

Summer camps offer valuable mind, body and spiritual development experiences for all.

Camp Lambec and Westminster Highlands are spiritually safe spaces to explore and grow in faith. Whether you are new to Christian camping or a returning camper everyone will experience something new. Spend a week making new friends and connections living in Christian community. Our Staff are experienced, qualified and trained to care for all ages. Our programs and activities are age appropriate. We meet or exceed the American Camping Association camper to staff supervision ratios.

Adventure and Challenge

CAPNWP offers several adventure, challenge, team building, field game, problem-solving and learning programs.

Please contact the CAPNWP office for more information or to discuss how to incorporate these into your retreat or event. There are additional fees for these programs as they require leadership by our certified staff. All of our adventure and challenge activities employ ‘challenge by choice’ where participants are encourage to expand their personal limits and overcome fears but always have the choice. We facilitate an environment of physical, mental and spiritual safety in all of these events. Our activities and our staff are certified and recertified annually.

Field Games

Great for ‘get to know you’ and warm-up activities for groups. We can also design them to facilitate team building, fair play, group problem solving or just for fun. We offer these at both Camp Lambec and Westminster Highlands. Field games can be tailored for all ages.

Low Ropes

Only offered at Westminster Highlands. The low ropes course has a variety of challenge elements, giving multiple group members an opportunity to lead the group. We can frame the elements to reinforce and build on the group’s agenda or event focus. The low ropes course offers a great mix of activities that expand participants ideas of what they can do building confidence and bonds within the group. We recommend either a 3-4 hour program or 6 hour program with a meal break.

Zip Line

Offered at Westminster Highlands. Participants are fully secure in a harness. When ready, they step off a 40’ high rock face and zip over a valley for approximately 180 yards. This is a challenge activity that helps participants overcome person fears or limitations. For experienced adventure program participants it is a favorite activity.

Climbing & Rappelling

Offered at Westminster Highlands. Numerous rock formations offer a variety of climbs and rappels. Experienced and novice climbers will enjoy the challenge and the scenic setting. This is a great activity for small groups as either team work or personal challenge can be incorporated. Or, just climb for fun.

Hiking

Both Camp Lambec and Westminster Highlands offer acres of scenic woods and trails for hikers. Take a short hike or really explore, either way you’ll be surprised how quickly you get immersed in God’s creation. Camp Lambec is adjacent to Lake Erie, so guests are able to enjoy the shoreline and beautiful sunsets.

Dear Friends,

For more than 65 years, Camp Lambec and Westminster Highlands have been providing camp and retreat opportunities for children, youth, young adults, adults and families to grow in spirit, mind and mission service together. Our sites are shared spaces where all are invited to hear the Good News surrounded by God’s creation. Thousands of lives are impacted every year as the Holy Spirit moves in lives. Many of you remember a significant spiritual development experience or how you responded to God’s call during summer camp or at a retreat at Camp Lambec or Westminster Highlands. Tomorrow’s Christian leaders are attending camps and retreats now.

Mission Work

CAPNPW encourages mission work groups to consider a mission project at one of our sites.

We have day, weekend and week-long mission opportunities. We partner with mission groups to identify appropriate projects to their group and length of stay.
