ABOUT CAMP
The American Youth Foundation is a nonprofit that inspires more than 6,000 youth each year to discover their best selves and make a difference in their communities and the wider world. For over 85 years, our two sites in New Hampshire and Michigan have offered camps, leadership conferences, and year round school and community programs. More than half of ALL our participants receive some form of financial assistance to be able to experience a community where they learn how to live a balanced life through mental, physical, spiritual, and social activities.

The American Youth Foundation operates programs throughout the year to offer the opportunity for youth to experience our wonderful properties. Youth are involved in activities at Merrowvista and Miniwanca almost every single day - in fact there are only about 40 days of the entire year where youth are not present at our sites! Our Year Round Programs typically occur outside the summer months and encompass Leadership Programs, Community and School Programs, and retreats. The Community and School Program is by far our largest in terms of number of youth served and it is an excellent way to incorporate our mission into the principles of your organization. Summer Programs
夏日计划
The summer is a very busy season for the American Youth Foundation. We welcome thousands of youth from around the country to our beautiful sites at Miniwanca and Merrowvista to participate in our summer camp programs. Several hundred seasonal staff members also join us as we gear up to challenge participants to a summer they'll never forget.
This is also the time when our National Leadership Conference and Summer Seminars for Women take place at Miniwanca in Michigan. The National Leadership Conference is the founding program for AYF and is perhaps one of the most life-changing leadership programs in the country for older youth (high school and college) as they prepare to cross into adulthood.

National Leadership Award
The American Youth Foundation's National Leadership Award is a unique opportunity for you to honor extraordinary young people for their character and leadership
The award recognizes youth ages 15-18 years old who strive to be their personal best and make a positive difference in their schools, youth groups, 4-H clubs, and communities.
Award recipients receive a personalized award certificate, a copy of William H. Danforth's classic motivational book I Dare You! and are eligible to apply for the "I Dare You" Scholarship. All students between the ages of 15-18 are eligible to attend the National Leadership Conference.
