Activities

Camp activities reinforce the mission of Camp Champions, providing an interactive, outdoors (and sometimes underwater) environment to teach new skills and hone past ones. We organize activities into four different departments: Waterfront, Sports, Outdoors, and Fine Arts.

Waterfront

Texas is HOT in the summer, and that makes us all grateful for Lake LBJ! Everyone has fun in the water—Jet Skiing, Wakeboarding, Water Skiing, Tubing, Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, Canoeing, Sailing, not to mention Swimming in our pool…

Waterskiing

Rev up your engines and get ready for some adrenaline infused action!

Kayaking

Go on a kayak trip across Lake LBJ with your whole cabin!

Water Toys

Tubing behind a jet ski is a ton of fun!!

Paddle Boarding

Have you tried Paddle Boarding? Its fun for one or two (or even more)...

Wakeboarding

Imagine how much fun you could have Wakeboarding behind this boat!

Sailing

Give me some wind in my sails and I'll be a happy camper.

Swimming

Campers learn new strokes to prepare for one of our favorite traditions--the kilometer swim.

Water Slides

I'll bet you can't wait to slide down one of these!

Splashing Around

There are plenty of opportunities to get wet and cool off with your friends.

Sports

Fast action, balanced by good sportsmanship, and thrilling moments of victory, can all be found at Camp Champions. We play Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Tennis, Pickleball, Kickball, GaGa, Volleyball, and Lacrosse, plus we do Yoga and Fitness…it’s hard not to have fun!

Pickleball

Never heard of Pickleball? It's kind of like a cross between ping-pong and tennis. Crazy, huh? Only at Camp Champions.

Volleyball

What's better than playing volleyball? How about playing on a sand court, right on the shore of Lake LBJ!

Yoga

Looks relaxing, right? Yoga will give you a good workout, but you'll feel refreshed at the end. Come try it!

Basketball

Ready to dunk? You'll love playing on our shaded, open-air court.

Tennis

We offer all levels of tennis instruction. Pick up your racket and join in the fun!

Gaga

You might be new to Gaga but you'll learn quickly. Be ready to move fast.

Lacrosse

Blink and you'll miss in the fast paced game of lacrosse.

Kickball

Who doesn't love an old-fashioned game of kickball?

Outdoors

One of the most important things about camp is where it happens: outdoors. Children have real adventures on our Ropes Courses and Climbing Walls, driving Go Karts, Horseback Riding, learning Survival Skills, plus there’s Archery, Riflery, and some fun farm animals!

Archery

Hitting a bullseye takes patience, steady aim, and lots of practice!

Ropes Course

Campers learn to trust in their own abilities high above the Camp Champions property.

Horseback Riding

Riding at camp is a special thrill — out on the trail with your horse!

Go Carts

Where else can you have this much fun?

Riflery

Breath, relax, steady, aim, fire!

Petting Zoo

We've got pigs, rabbits, goats, and more!

Team Adventures

You've got to learn teamwork skills to succeed at camp.

Fine Arts

Boys and girls appreciate the opportunity to slow down during the day and focus on a project. Arts & Crafts, Ceramics, Paining, Drama, Dance, Music, and Cooking provide a creative balance to the daily activities of camp.

Ceramics

Our ceramics studio is ready and waiting for your imagination to take over!

Music

You can play guitar, drums, and more at Camp Champions.

Dance

Grab your partner and spin them round!

Painting

You're only limited by your imagination.

Cooking

Campers bake cookies and more in our cooking class.

Arts and Crafts

There are lots of creative projects that you'll enjoy at camp.

We spend considerable time during the off season recruiting top notch counselors with experience in their activity specialties to bring our campers the best skill instruction possible. Kids grow tremendously in confidence and independence when encouraged to take reasonable risks and try activities outside their comfort zone. Your child will never be the same.

Special Instruction

Children interested in greater mastery of skills can take Elite Ski, Elite Wake Boarding, Elite Tennis, and Horseback. These classes are meant for campers who already have the basics of these skills down and want to hone their abilities.
