ABOUT CAMP
Located in the majestic forested countryside east of Santa Fe on 240 acres, Camp Stoney and Bishop Stoney Retreat Center offers a variety of options in an enchanting setting.Camp Stoney Mission Statement. Our mission is to encourage people of all ages to grow stronger in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, providing an atmosphere which promotes learning, leadership development and Christian discipleship for the building of God's kingdom.

Ministering with Grace
Grace Camp is a special ministry tradition at Camp Stoney that services the children of those in prison.Each summer as part of the Camp Stoney program, Grace Camp provides a week of inclusive Christian camping for “at risk” children, ages 8-13, who have one or both parents in prison.
Eligible campers are invited to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains outside of Santa Fe to enjoy a week of exciting summer camp. The trained camp counselors give special emphasis to helping increase the campers’ self-esteem and confidence. Campers are taught group cooperation, and are provided with alternatives to violent behavior. Grace Camp is a place where campers may experience — perhaps for the first time —unconditional love and forgiveness.

The camp fee is $200 per camper. ($150 paid by camper and $50 covered by the Deanery along with volunteer service) All sessions will include traditional camp activities as well as various activities related to the theme for that week.

May 31-June 6 College Week (Ages 18-25) A traditional week of camp including hiking, archery, swimming Worship and bible study. Open to all college students or those of college age.

June 11-14 Family Camp (All Ages; parents required) Families participate in traditional camp activities as well as a chance for families to share in quality time while sharing and growing in their faith together. The long weekend provides a great way to introduce younger children to camp and for alumni to come back.

June 14-20 Discovery Camp (Grades 4-8) A chance to experience some new activities such as hiking, crafts, science and bird watching all while exploring the Bible through parables and other stories.

June 21-27 Narnia Camp (Grades 3-6) Campers grow in their relation with Christ as they explore the world of C.S. Lewis’s Narnia.

June 28-July 3 Adventure Camp (Grades 8-12) Teens are invited into the rugged outdoors through wilderness backpacking, off-site camping, white-water rafting and fishing. Bible Study and Worship will take place in God’s very own creation.

July 5-11 Frozen Summer (Grades 3-6) Come explore biblical love and sacrifice while turning the camp into a snow covered wonderland. You might even discover a snowman or two in the woods.

July 12-18 Transforming the World (Grades-5-9) Learn all about conservation and energy as we explore how to become good stewards of God’s creation. Beside the traditional camp activities campers will get to learn how to cook with the sun, turn wind into energy and how prayer can transform.

July 19-25 Senior High Leadership (Grades 9-12) This camp offers young adults the chance an opportunity to serve through fun and creative mentoring. By the end of the week the teens will know how to lead many of the traditional camp activities with the counselors.
