We have a great range of fun & safe adventure activities to choose from. We will work with you to create a camp program that is just right for your group. Your stay at Forest Lodge can be as actioned packed or as relaxed as you would like it to be, its up to you……….

We have a large accommodation lodge which is both air-conditioned and heated. A cosy lounge with huge open fire place and state of the art, surround sound audio/visual system including large projector screen. Our lodge has a good sized dining room, the chairs/tables in this room are easily packed away if you want to utilise this space for other purposes. If you are self catering there is a large commercial sized kitchen with walk in cool room, all appliances, cutlery, crockery etc. The bunkrooms in the lodge are clean, comfortable and cosy.

Other facilities include a separate heated recreation hall with stage & table tennis table. We have a large grassy sports oval with basketball rings and beach volleyball court, in-ground swimming pool and camp fire.

Also Forest Lodge Farm really is a farm, we have many farm animals on-site, including an animal nursery (seasonal). A lot of our babies are bottle fed and we are more than happy to let your group help out with feeding and caring for our animals while you are here.

Nearby attractions include Wilsons Promontory, Tarra Bulga National Park, the historic town of Port Albert, Coal Creek historic village, Toora Windfarm, Agnes Falls,  SEC Powerworks Morwell and Ninety Mile Beach. Activities

Forest Lodge has a huge range of activities to suit everyone. We can cater for those in need of a challenge, groups that want to work on building self confidence or just enjoying the property and relaxation.

Many of the activities are best performed in groups, and children love being part of a team competing against and working in a team with their classmates & friends.

We can schedule the activities to suit your needs or try one of our proven programs. Choose from educational activities such as Ponding, Orienteering or Bush Cooking, or take on the adrenalin and challenge of Canoeing, Flying Fox, Archery, Low Ropes Course or the Giant Swing.

Giant Swing

How high can you go? You can be hauled up to full height of 20 meters if you dare! You decide when to pull the rip cord and start swinging. This activity is fully supervised by qualified staff.

“On Tuesday and Wednesday everyone got split into groups and did the campsite activities. One of the activities was the Giant Swing. You got harnessed in and then you got pulled up to however high you wanted to go. Everyone worked very hard to get you to the top. Then you pulled a cord and swung back and forth like a pendulum” By Sam

Flying Fox

The young and young at heart will love our 110m flying fox, overlooking picturesque dairy country and the spectacular Stresleki Ranges, its a must do at Forest Lodge. This activity is fully supervised by qualified staff.

Canoes

Paddle the safe waters of our dam in one of our canoes. Try maneuvering between the poles, have a race, or just enjoy a leisurely paddle. This activity is fully supervised by qualified staff.

Raft Building

Use the supplied equipment to build your own raft and challenge other teams. See who’s raft will stand up to the great raft race. This activity is fully supervised by qualified staff.

Archery

Test your skill with a bow and arrow. Under experienced tuition, try for a bulls eye with our full size archery equipment. This activity can be run indoor or outdoor so weather is not a factor. As an extra challenge balloons can be used on the target, try and pop everyone elses balloon, see if your the last one standing!!

“At camp, the grade 5’s did archery. We learnt how to safely load the bow. We had 3 practice shots to get used to it and know what we were doing before we had a tournament. In two groups boys and girls we tried to get a bull’s eye. Nathaniel was one successful archer” By Tessa

Low Ropes Course

How is your sense of balance? Can you make it through our ropes course without touching the ground? Try it out. This activity can be performed as a group activity with challenges for teams, or for individuals to test their skill.

“At camp there was an activity that was called the Ropes Course. It was all about balancing on ropes and having fun. The ropes course was made out of ropes and what we did was hold on and step on ropes. Most kids fell off but they tried again. We needed to get into a group of 3 people to help support each other for safety.” By Amy

Initiatives Course

Learn how working as a team is both challenging and fun. These team building games will get everyone working together.

“The initiatives course was all about working together as a team. Everyone was in a team of about 10 or 11. The tasks we had to accomplish were difficult. One of the tasks involved us all standing on a platform that was about 1metre by 1 metre. Everyone was very cramped. One by one we had to swing on a rope to the platform on the other side which was much smaller. A lot of us had trouble but we all found solutions! There were a number of different tasks we had to complete. We all enjoyed it. By Tamzyn

Bush Cooking

Ever cooked a damper twist on a stick over a fire? We supply all the ingredients and the fire so that you can have a go at cooking the way a swaggie would. If damper is not your thing you can also cook a toffee apple or of course marshmallows.

Hut Building

Build a hut with the bush materials provided. Would yours stand up to the wind and the rain? Climb in and we’ll test your hut !!

“On Wednesday, the third day of camp, we split into three groups. One group played cricket, the next group did orienteering and the last group did Hut Building. Hut Building was a real challenge. We got into small groups and we had to design a waterproof hut. After we had finished building it the teachers poured water over the huts while we were inside! Everyone got soaked! Nobodys huts were waterproof and everyone ended up getting wet!” By Kai

Bush Walking

Choose from a nearby Nature Trail or just a good hike through the Alberton West State Forest, which is located directly opposite the camp. Forest Lodge Staff are happy to guide you on a night walk too.

Camp Fires

Sit around and toast marshmellows or tell spooky stories while keeping warm by our camp fire before settling down for the night.

Concerts & Shows

Enjoy a night concert, red faces show, trivia games or disco. Our recreation room is perfect, large, spacious, with a stereo and stage.

Farm Animals

We have many farm animals onsite. Many of which can be hand fed and handled by the camp attendees. These include sheep, cows, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs and goats.

This is a fantastic team activity and suits all ages. Teams are given a map of the property and a sheet with 25 questions. For each questions there is a corresponding mark on the map, teams must race to each spot to find the answer to the clue. Quickest team with the most correct answers wins The GREAT Forest Lodge CLUE TRAIL.
