Camp Bonaventure
Camp Bonaventure creates a summer full of excitement, friendship and fun. Children and youth thrive at Camp Bonaventure. They are encouraged to challenge and develop their abilities through horseback riding, canoeing, sailing, wall climbing, golf, swimming and many other exciting activities and adventures.
Camp Bonaventure is available to children and youth with and without a disability from the age of 4 – 17 years old. Individuals are divided into age-appropriate groups. Activities are customized to all ability levels to maximize enjoyment and help participants challenge and grow their individual potential.
Camp Bonaventure typically operates on a staff to participant ratio of 1:4 and can accommodate participants with a 1:2 to 1:6 ratio. Members who require 1:1 are welcome to participate with the assistance of their Personal Aide.

Camp Bonaventure staff
The Camp Bonaventure staff is unparalleled in their commitment to creating unforgettable summer experiences for their campers. Between Friends carefully screens and selects individuals who are trustworthy, capable, positive role models, enthusiastic, and talented.
We provide staff with intensive pre-camp training where they cover camp policies and procedures, basic safety, team-building, risk management, behaviour management, lifts and transfers, medicine administration, leadership, conflict resolution, camper activity programming, daily routines, and camp traditions.
In addition, potential camp scenarios are role-played during training. Role plays include resolving camper conflicts, calming agitated and angry children, reassuring anxious and frustrated children, and dealing with varied behaviours. The majority of our staff have experience with or work in the child care and disability field.
Camp Bonaventure staff must be over 18 years of age and obtain formal screening through The Calgary Police and Alberta Government Child Welfare. Staff must posses Standard First Aid and CPR certification.

2015 Camp Bonaventure schedule
Minnows
Minnows attend one week camp sessions that run Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Minnows may participate in a maximum of 6 sessions. Extended care is available from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Session 5: August 4 to August 7, 2015 (no camp August 3)
Session 6: August 10 to August 14, 2015
Session 7: August 17 to August 21, 2015
Session 8: August 24 to August 28, 2015
Chipmunks
Chipmunks attend two week sessions that run Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Chipmunks may participate in a maximum of 3 sessions. Extended care is available before and after camp hours.
Otters, Badgers, Wolverines, Coyotes and Grizzlies
Otters, Badgers, Wolverines, Coyotes and Grizzlies participate in two week session that run Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the exception of an overnight (the first or second Thursday of a session). Otters, Badgers, Wolverines, Coyotes and Grizzlies may participate in a maximum of 3 sessions. Extended care is available before and after camp hours.
