andy Hill is nestled on 211 acres of unspoiled forests, fields, and beaches overlooking the Chesapeake Bay near the quaint town of North East, Maryland. It is conveniently located halfway between Baltimore and Philadelphia, it is well-known for its outstanding summer camp, for its beautiful facility for group events, and for the hospitality of its staff. Sandy Hill is family-owned and ACA accredited. Its serene natural setting is ideal for outdoor adventure and relaxation. 

Summer Camp

AMAZING! Sail and waterski on the Chesapeake Bay, ride a horse, fly down the zipline, scale a 50 ft climbing tower and that's just the beginning. Learn about our action-packed one- and two-week overnight camp sessions for boys and girls ages 8-16. 

Summer Camp Overview

Sandy Hill Camp is a family-owned and operated, licensed and ACA-accredited, residential summer camp. Located on 211 scenic acres overlooking the Upper Chesapeake Bay near the town of North East, Maryland. Since 1995, Sandy Hill has offered a variety of action-packed one and two-week sessions for boys and girls who have completed 2nd through 10th grades. 

The programs are designed to help each camper learn and grow through fun, educational, and character-building experiences. Campers are supervised by a caring and qualified staff who lead by example to create a safe and nurturing environment

The carefully-crafted combination of these elements are part of what makes Sandy Hill a special place. But a good program alone cannot make a camp truly great. That takes people...Counselors who really aregood role models, who care deeply, and who really do put their campers first...And campers, both new and old, who make Sandy Hill their home away from home and share so many special moments together...Peopleare what make Sandy Hill truly amazing!

Sandy Hill staff members are carefully selected on the basis of their integrity, maturity, enthusiasm, experience in working with young people, and skills in various camp activities. All counselors undergo a week of intensive staff training which includes sessions about safety, child development, behavior management, and much more. 

Staff who work with the ropes course, horses, waterfront and pool have an additional week of technical training on safety and skills in their focus area. Most counselors are college students interested in being positive Christian role models for kids, and many return summer after summer. International counselors representing more than a fifteen countries make up approximately one-third of the staff each year and provide a culturally diverse experience for the campers. With over 160 staff, the overall camper to staff ratio at Sandy Hill is better than 3:1.
