ABOUT CAMP
ACTIVITIES
There are five programs at Camp and each morning, campers participate in four of the five. The programs are:
Canoeing and Archery: Campers learn basic paddling and safety skills, play a variety of canoe games, and take extended canoe trips. Campers also learn the fundamentals of shooting bows and arrows at our archery range.
BUGS: An acronym that stands for Beauty Under God's Sky, BUGS is our outdoor nature program. Campers participate in a variety of activities designed to teach them about the environment and eco-system, local wildlife, and outdoor skills such as Geo-Caching (orienteering with GPS units), shelter and fire building. Campers during weeks one through six will also participate in the overnight Outback experience in which they will do some outdoor cooking and sleep in lean-tos under the stars.
Imagination: This program allows campers to explore their creative sides. Campers will produce a variety of arts and crafts projects as well as browse through our well-stocked tickle trunk to assemble a costume for one of our numerous theme dinners.
Sports: Campers participate in a variety of traditional and non-traditional sports and games. Emphasis is placed on having fun and being active, not on sport-skill development. Camp favorites include soccer, slip and slide baseball, water-balloon volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and dodgeball.
